But what about using the straight edge to make sure the timing cover is level at the bottom!!!!! My second month in I had to rip a head off a turbo cayenne engine…. It's wasn't fun lol
@5:00 When I do these types of job, I lean that holding tool against the enginestand or floor and tourque from the right side downwards. If I cant turn the crank I just torque it about 100Nm (73lbft) and torque it to right specs later. Is it the same torquespecs as audi engine? 150Nm (110lbft) and 180 degree?
Very impressive skills!! By the way, I was wondering, I'm currently an Audi Tech and was considering to work for Porsche. Is it worth the switch? They will pay me more, but looks like the hours are less. How many warranty hours is that job?
What was the problem? Leaking front crank seal? Broken chain guide? Instead of buying a new 3/4 to 1/2" adapter, wouldn't it make sense to buy a 3/4 socket in the right size? What is it, 24, 27mm? It wouldn't have to be impact.
So technicians check up the car and that it performance for the consumer? B/c I want to be like a mechanic or something that I can put 1000 HP in car
